Executive Board
Landon A. - President | Club Mentor | Western Division Director
Landon joined Toastmasters in July 2018 to not only expand his leadership and public speaking skills but also to foster his confidence in being heard and understood after a decade of personal development and growth, post-sexual trauma. As a three-time competitor in the International Speech contest, holding all club officer roles, Area Director, Southern Division Director, Club Sponsor, Club Mentor, Club Coach, a Distinguished Toastmasters, as well as being the District’s Pathways guru, Landon is a testament to the phrase "you get out of it what you put into it." Landon is a multipotentialite of many backgrounds; a Marine veteran, personal fitness trainer, CEO of SchizoPhrenia Care Project, keynote speaker, and 7-time author, Landon brings all his knowledge and experience to Career Builders, and Toastmasters as a whole. His favorite part of Toastmasters, outside of the phenomenal connections and networking, is the ability to practice, foster, and hone his communication and leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment. . |

In 2014 Kristin paddled through the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific in the "Ocean to Ocean Race" on a native Panamanian boat called a cayuco. The Career Builders club has helped her increase her confidence and has given her the opportunity to learn leadership skills. When Alicia is not at work or in a Toastmasters meeting, she is usually spending time with her family and friends. She likes to hike, practice her Spanish, read self help books, dream about future travels and dance in her car. |

Deborah lives in San Diego where she is a college professor as well as part of a vibrant writing community. Her first book, about building and sailing a 50-foot schooner, will be released next year. Joining Toastmasters has been an important part of preparing for talks about her upcoming memoir. She lives with a black cat in a tiny house built in 1906 by a retired sea captain who carved a tall ship in the front door. |
