 Shirley Doyle represented Career Builders Toastmasters in the Area 14 Speech Contest on October 26 and won the Table Topics division! Not only that, but she came in as runner-up in the International division as well. She will be representing our club at the upcoming Division Level contest. Way to go Shirley! :) We'd like to give a huge "Thank You" to our Area Director and fellow club member Landon Alchikh for all of his work helping to organize such a successful speech contest this year. These contests are fun way for members to push themselves to become better public speakers by getting up in front of a larger audience to speak. Thank you Landon!  Guest Speaker Joy Clausen Soto delivered an incredible inspirational speech to us for our fall Open House. You can listen to her TED talk here. We had a blast at our September Open House this year, with three excellent speakers and great food and drinks for everyone to share. Four new members signed up and we can't wait to hear their first speeches!
