What better way to celebrate our Career Builders club successes this year than ON THE RED CARPET? Our members triumphed through this second year of covid by helping each other reach their personal and professional goals and practicing their speaking and leadership skills. Rock on, Career Builders Toastmasters!
Here are some highlights from our Red Carpet Awards ceremony celebrating our members achievements and support for each other in the 2021-2022 Toastmasters year. We got together for a fabulous in-person meeting featuring an outstanding Icebreaker by new member Craig Smith, then gathered for the first time in nearly three years afterwards at a local restaurant to continue the celebration.
We're looking forward to another great year of hearing each other speak in 2022-2023!
We are excited to announce that we have achieved President's Distinguished for the 11th year in a row! A huge "Congratulations!" to all of our hard-working members who gave countless excellent speeches and supported their fellow members in their quest for self-improvement.
We are beyond excited to announce that our very own Landon Alchikh and Megan Kettl won awards at the Southern Division contest on Saturday, March 19 2022. Landon won first place in the International competition and will be representing the entire Southern Division at the District Level. Go Landon! Megan won second place in the Evaluation contest and will compete on behalf of Southern Division in the event that the first place winner cannot. Go Megan!
Great job both of you, you really made us proud!
On the leadership side of the contest, we had Jennifer Gaughran participate as Contest Chair this year and Miguel Murillo participate as contest Timer. Thank you both for helping support the contest in these essential functionary capacities! These types of roles help our members build critical leadership skills and allow them to network with many members outside of our club.
Here are the list of all of the Southern Division Contest winners:
Evaluation Contest Winners
3rd Place: Megan Hurley
2nd Place: Megan Kettl
1st Place: Yesica Vazquez
International Contest Winners
3rd Place: Leonard Casiple
