Career Builders Toastmasters is pleased to welcome in our new executive board for the first term of 2021! A Club officer serves a very important role within Toastmasters International. They provide leadership, support, and foster a positive and encouraging environment for members and guests.
On December 21, 2020, Career Builders commenced with a new board induction, with Area 14 Southern Division Director, Landon, swearing in the Club Officers through the online virtual platform, Zoom! The club also presented well deserved accolades to Jana, outgoing Club President. Through Jana's leadership, the club continued to excel and inspire new members to join amidst a pandemic. The Career Builders club presented her with a well deserved award for her outstanding leadership. Our new club President for 2021 will be Alberto who looks forward to continuing the success of the club. Here's a brief blurb of how Toastmasters has helped Alberto: “I was terrified of Public Speaking, the anxiety would start from the night before, my voice and hands would start shaking, I would go almost blank. When I was approached to apply for my current position, I realized the amount of public speaking involved and I was very close to passing the opportunity. Suddenly, I remembered a friend that was attending Toastmasters meetings and I decided to try it, and I loved it. I joined and served as Sergeant of Arms, and continued volunteering for various functionary roles." Check out your first term of 2021 club officers here!
